Thriller Opening Sequence Script.

DESIRE

Hannah Parker, Stevie Anthony, Beca Smith, Jake May.

SCENE 1:

Black fades to a door, (CU). Hannah walks in slowly and slams door(MS) (sound is diegetic)

FASHBACK - Stevie & Jake walking/sitting being watched by Hannah. (Non-diegetic sound, creepy music)

CUT BACK TO KITCHEN

SCENE 2:

Hannah walks in, (only sound heard is Hannah’s heals, diegetic, MS) walks down kitchen to a table, PAN table, lingering on each object;

o   Flowers
o   Tea lights
o   Big red candle
o   Knife
o   Phone
o   Matches
o   Memory box, (includes):
o   Birthday card
o   T-shirt
o   Pressed flower
o   Empty aftershave bottle
o   Gig Tickets
o   Train Tickets
o   Pictures of Jake and Hannah
o   Possible comb/brush

SCENE 3:

Hannah picks up matches and lights tea light (Diegetic sound of the matches being lit, CU of tea lights), each 3^rd tea light (roughly) lit triggers another flash back of Stevie and Jake. (all flashbacks include non-diegetic sound, music)

SCENE 4:

Pan of room, quick pan of Jake (tided up and gagged) pan past Jake and back with Hannah standing behind.

SCENE 5:

Cut to Stevie in a different room (using LS, MS and CU), puts coffee cup down in front of a picture of Stevie and Jake (shows that Stevie and Jake are the new couple), Stevie rings Jake..

CUT BACK TO KITCHEN

Hannah is looking through memory box, smelling t-shirt, aftershave, etc..

Phone is on table, lights up,(CU) Stevie ringing Jake. OTS Hannah rejects the call, calmly.

SCENE 6:

Hannah teases Jake, plays with his hair strokes a knife across his face, whispers in his ear, etc..

MONTAGE OF FLASHBACKS AND HANNAH LIGHTING A BIG RED CANDLE, WALKING UP TO JAKE.

Flashbacks stop. Hannah stands with the candle between her and Jake; as if she’s going to kiss him she blows the candle out in his face.
